I read this book a while ago and it was amazing. I actually bought the ebooks about a year ago but never got around to reading them. After Slammed I thought Layken and Will’s relationship would get a little easier. Of course both of them have been through devastating events in their lives and grew up a lot quicker then they should have.

I love how Colleen wrote the characters, they were very believable and lovable. Layken had her own insecurities which is understandable with all the issues that they went through in Slammed. I also like how she wrote that Will’s Grandma didn’t really like Layken and her reasoning for that, I could totally see my grandma saying the same thing to me about a guy.

There aren’t many books out there that I have to read through in one sitting but this was definitely one of them. Honestly I really loved this book by Colleen and I can’t wait to read any other books by her. I don’t want to give away too much information on the book because I was totally shocked by the ending and a few twists in it that I didn’t see coming but I loved everything about it. I recommend you go out and buy it either in paperback or ebook format.

I bought this book back in January and waited until FOREVER to read it. I know I must have been out of my mind. I am sure the hair dye must have made me crazy for a few months until I read this amazing book by Colleen Hoover. Trust me I thought I must have been insane to wait to read this amazing book. I get tired at times of the paranormal YA and I really enjoy the contemporary YA at times. This trilogy in whole is my number 3 in top 5 YA/New Adult contemporaries. Number 1 belongs to Jamie McGuire for her Beautiful Disaster and Number 2 is for Molly McAdams Taking Chances. So it just shows you Colleen is in great company.

The book starts out with Laykin and her whole family (her mom and little brother) moving across country because her dad passed away and they were told that they needed to sell the house to survive. Once there she meets Will and his little brother. And all is good and well, they hit it off and everything seems great. Except that Laykin is still in high school, yea she’s 18 though but that doesn’t help what eventually ends up happening.

There were so many moments that I cried over because honestly I don’t know if I could be strong enough to do what Laykin or even Will had to do. Will had a ton of responsibilities but knew that no matter how hard he fought he was falling madly in love with Laykin which was great because they were perfect for each other. Except because of one of the MANY twists in the book.

One of the greatest parts of this book was that the characters felt real, they had their issues and weren’t close to perfect. They lied, hid secrets from each other, tried protecting each other, loved each other. I could literally see the characters together in my head more so than a lot of other book characters. They seemed so real thanks to Colleen’s amazing writing.

I don’t want to give too much away because honestly you should have bought this book and read it. Don’t wait months like I did. Just do it already. It is definitely worth it. Every second of the whole book.

I absolutely loved this book, I sat down to finally read it and I just sat there all day until it was done. The characters were amazing, I could actually visualize the city that they lived in, of course that may be because I watch a lot of movies with plagues in them.

Araby was such a broken character, I honestly just wanted her to be happy and not fake it. You don’t see a lot of books where the heroine is so damaged inside. It was so different; she took the drugs at a club just to get away from herself for a while. I honestly didn’t think that she was going to try and get any better at all. At least she managed to get a best friend that actually cares about her enough to make sure she gets home safely every night.

April lives across their building in the other penthouse and is so positive about everything even at the end of the story. Araby cares enough about her that when she finds out that April is missing she decides she is going to find her and make sure that she is okay. April is the only person that Araby really cares about.

Will takes care of the club that April and Araby go to when they go out. Araby likes him but isn’t willing to do anything about it because she made a vow. I won’t tell you about the vow because it is a major part of why she is like that. Will seems like a great guy, I get why he did what he did. I mean I do, really. I just can’t understand why it had to be him that betrayed her.

Elliott seemed like an ass. I am sorry he did. He definitely had his moments where I thought he was insane, really insane. But he would explain himself in a way that makes sense. I get it, the prince was abusive in all matters of the word and it might have made him a little cruel too. You could see that he wanted to be better than that though. I was definitely more Team Elliott, I really wanted Araby to choose him.

I can’t wait to read the next book; if each book gets better then the next one is sure to blow my mind.
