How to Marry an Alien by Magan Vernon (My Alien Romance #3)

How to Marry an Alien

Alex’s interstellar relationship has finally been sealed in the eyes of the human world, so now she can move on to her next step: college.

With Ace by her side and a new piece of jewelry on her finger, she thinks she is ready for anything. Well, almost anything.
Her new roommate holds a dangerous link to her past that Alex isn’t sure if she can handle. Then there is the whole alien fiancé thing. Every time she tries to get closer to Ace, he seems to pull further away. Top that off with a full summer class load and a few more alien attacks and it’s just another day for Alex.

Except this time she isn’t sure if marrying an alien will be the happy ending she’s hoping for. goodreads-badge-add-plus-1

I was waiting forever for this book to come out. There wasn’t a second that I didn’t love this book. I even asked Magan if there would HOPEFULLY be a 4th book on how Alex and Ace were after the wedding. There was somethings that I was not expecting to find out in the book and it made me sad when I heard that.

I love how Alex became friends with everyone, even people from the past that weren’t so nice to her. Of course there were some twists in their relationship and Alex was learning to be more herself and who she wants to be in this book then the other 2 which was great because every 18 year old goes through that.

Ace was as always a sweetheart, I loved how he was always there for Alex no matter what. I can honestly say that I loved his character. He had his moments of brooding but he was definitely one of the nicest male characters I have read in a really long time. Most of the time they are kind of jerks. Don’t get me wrong, I like them too but it was a nice change of pace.

I have read EVERY book by Magan so far and honestly I have loved every one of them. I hope for the 4th book but if that doesn’t happen, I am happy with how the story ended. Ace and Alex had a great love story that had it’s ups and downs like a normal relationship except the guy just so happened to be an alien from another planet, and not only that but royalty on that planet. I hope everyone reads these books and falls in love with the characters like I have.

How to Break Up with an Alien by Magan Vernon (My Alien Romance #2)

How to Break Up with an Alien

Face it, long distance relationships in high school are hard,
especially when the other one in the relationship is an alien.
Alex Bianchi may have survived an intergalactic battle, but that still doesn’t excuse her from her senior year of high school, or qualify her for any sort of scholarship. To make up for college tuition costs, she takes a job at a local coffee shop. If only coffee could solve all of her problems.

As Alex’s senior year progresses, everything changes and she can’t figure out if it is interstellar or if it is just time to break up with an alien.

This is the second book in the series by Magan and it definitely didn’t disappoint. This time the issue between Ace and Alex is the time and distance away from each other. Not to mention that she gets in her mind that Ace is cheating on her. Which makes no sense to me but I know as a teen I had that same thought in my long distance relationship.

While at school, Alex gets a job at a local coffee shop and starts working with Simone. She and Simone hit it off and become friends right away. I thought everything was going to be okay but of course there were some twists in the book. Ace does everything he can to show her that he loves her and wants her. Of course it didn’t help that Alex’s “friend” was putting ideas in her head.

There was so much drama in this one. I know there were moments in this book that I either cried or teared up. Of course there were other moments where I laughed out loud. I really wanted them to have the happily ever after, that didn’t happen kinda. The book ended happily but it isn’t the last one in the series. I can’t wait for the next one to come.

I hope the next book is just as great as the first two have been.

How to Date an Alien

Awkward teenage girl, Alex Bianchi, finds love when she takes an internship at Circe Operations Center.

This was the first book that I read from Magan Vernon. Of it wasn’t the last one! I loved her alien story so much that I decided to give a chance to another author who had just released an alien book at that time, Jennifer L Armentrout. This book had so many characters that I really enjoyed. Of course I loved Alex the most.

I loved how nerdy she was and how fiery she could be. She was so funny about herself too, instead of taking things badly, she works through things. Okay most of the time, I mean she is a teen, I remember having my moments of irrationality at that age. She was very tough because even though she got thrown into a situation at Circe with her dad and the other interns, she was able to get through everything. And she made friends! I loved that she actually attempted to be the savior instead of the damsel in distress. She did have her moments where she was the damsel.

Ace was amazing because not only does he Alex a few times but he is willing to do anything to be with her. As long as Alex wants him of course. I thought he was an amazing character, he really cared about her and was actually really sweet. Most guys in YA books tend to be jerky but he was sweet, of course he had his own secrets. Which I won’t give away because it was well worth the read to find out about it.

I really don’t want to give too much away because this book was amazing, I have loved every book I have read by Magan, who I know via email is a sweetheart. I am really glad I found her books!

How to Date an Alien by Magan Vernon (My Alien Romance #1)

Published October 2, 2012 by crysbookreviews

High school senior Alex Bianchi’s estranged father gets her an internship at Circe Operations Center to pad her college applications. But Circe isn’t your typical military base. It’s an alien-run operation center and not all of the aliens are friendly, especially the one that tries to kill Alex on her first day. When Ace, a dark-eyed Caltian, enters and saves the day, she can’t help but be drawn to him. Can these star-crossed lovers survive when they’re on the brink of intergalactic war? From Goodreads.

This was the VERY first book by Magan that I read and it got me hooked with her books!!! I loved how the government knew all about aliens and even employed them to help with issues around the world with other aliens. I actually read this book before I read the Lux books by Jennifer L Armentrout. This was the book that made me fall in love with the possibility of an alien/human relationship.

I loved how Ace treated Alex. He was always there to save her, whether it was from other aliens in the facility or his crazy mom. He cared so much about her and her feelings that he is willing to forego his own happiness to allow Alex to make her own decisions in who she wants to be with for the rest of her life. Especially since his mom takes away that decision from her. I get why people freaked out in the book about them being together. I am more of a “as long as they are happy together and treat each other right, I don’t care.”

The action was mainly at the end of the book. When Alex had to save Ace from his mom, who Alex finds out that he is a HUGE deal on his planet. But I loved the fact that she saved him instead of him saving her. Of course, it really was more of a mutual save. She went to save him, got caught, he got her out of her prison, then they both got caught.

Either way I really enjoyed it and liked that it was so different at the time it came out. I can’t wait to read the next book.

I gave this book 4 out of 5 stars.
